Actress Pranitha Subhash surprised her whole fan base on Monday when she suddenly announced that she secretly got married over the weekend in an intimate ceremony in Bangalore. The actress has worked across three languages till now—Telugu, Tamil and Kannada, and this year she is all set to enter Hindi films as well this year with not just one, but two releases. The first of them is Ajay Devgn, Sanjay Dutt and Sonakshi Sinha-starrer Bhuj: The Pride Of India and the other is Priyadarshan’s comeback to Hindi films after seven years, Hungama 2, which is the sequel to his 2003 comedy by the same name.
Talking about her character in Bhuj, the newly married Pranitha informs, “I play a Marathi wife to Ajay sir’s Air Force Squadron Vijay Karnik. The film is based on a real-life incident that happened in 1971 and thus all our characters, including mine, are based on real people.” ALSO READ: Hungama 2 Star Pranitha Subhash Ties The Knot With Nitin Raju In An Intimate Ceremony; Pictures From Their Wedding Surface On Social Media
Pranitha goes on to say that her part in the film is not that vital to the storyline. “I wouldn’t really say that my role is very crucial to the film as it is a war film at the end of the day and it is about Ajay sir and Sanjay sir’s characters. Their tracks are more important than the girl in the film, but it’s still a great way to start my journey in Hindi films,” she insists. Talking about her co-stars, Pranitha shares that she doesn’t really have any screen time with Sanjay Dutt, but she is a really huge fan of him. “As for Ajay sir, he has been one of my favourite heroes, especially in the comedy genre. I love his Golmaal series and my dream is to do a comedy film with him, but even Bhuj is a great way to start my journey here,” she asserts.
Pranitha identifies herself as a nationalist and thus the subject of the film appealed to her. “It is a war film and I am nationalist as a person and I love promoting patriotism and nationalist ideas through films, so to be a part of one such film is really fantastic for me,” she concludes.
