The trailer of Bad Boys Billionaires: India released by Netflix created quite a buzz among the audiences. The documentary chronicles the life of four billionaires of India, who have been accused in various scams. It is based on the lives of Vijay Mallya, Subrata Roy, Nirav Modi and Ramalinga Raju. The web-series was supposed to release on September 2, however, it now has restraining orders against it. A Hyderabad court passed a restraining order after Ramalinga Raju, prime accused in Satyam Scam filed a petition, while a Bihar Court restrained the series from using Subrata Roy's name. Netflix then moved to Supreme Court requesting to transfer all the petitions against the web-series to itself, however, the Apex Court has rejected the request.

Netflix moved the Supreme Court against the order passed by Bihar Court restraining it from using Subrata Roy's name, however, the court "Dismissed" the plea. But the Apex Court has given the liberty to Netflix to move to a Higher Court in Patna challenging lower court's order.

As per a report in FirstPost, Senior advocate Mukul Rohatgi, appearing for Netflix, requested that the Supreme Court transfers all the matters pertaining to the web-series to itself as there are many petitions pending against it.  However, the request was not granted.

Meanwhile, Ramalinga Raju filed a petition in a court in Hyderabad stating that the documentary projects half-truths and that it would invade his privacy, as reported by The News Minute. Ramalinga Raju was accused in Satyam Scam and was released on bail in 2018.
