Thanks to the Coronavirus lockdown, it has started raining fresh Bollywood releases on digital streaming platforms like Amazon Prime, Netflix and Disney+ Hotstar among many others. Only yesterday, Amitabh Bachchan and Ayushmann Khurrana officially announced the release of their film Gulabo Sitabo on Amazon Prime, as it can’t be predicted when the theatres will reopen in the wake of Coronavirus outbreak. Now, jumping onto the bandwagon is Vidya Balan’s Shakuntala Devi biopic with many other films in the pipeline.

Taking to her Instagram, the actress unveiled her film’s brand new poster, along with an official announcement of its release on Amazon Prime. She, however, didn’t reveal the date. Her caption read, “Delighted to announce that you will get to see #ShakuntalaDevi very soon on @primevideoin with all your loved ones. Thrilled that we will be able to entertain you in these unprecedented times. #WorldPremiereOnPrime #ShakuntalaDeviOnPrime.”
