Aamir Ali is all set to make his digital debut with Zee5’s original series, Naxalbari. His role in the series, called Keswani, is a go-getter, headstrong, at times insensitive industrialist, a never-played-before character for Aamir. The actor is keen on exploring digital content and said that “the world of OTT platforms is an amazing place to be in”.
“The digital space is rapidly taking over films and television, especially due to the early days of lockdown. As an artist, OTT platforms give you a sense of equality, acceptance, and freedom, no matter how small or big your scene may be, no matter if you are the protagonist or the antagonist. Audiences judge you based on your work, and their choices in shows are not based upon the Box Office numbers or TRPs but upon good content,” said Aamir. Adding to that he said, “For someone like me, who’s known to have played a certain type of ‘good’ character throughout my career, I have always wanted to do something that challenges me as an artist and gives me an opportunity to push myself. OTT platform gave me that opportunity, and Naxalbari gave me that character.” ALSO READ: Bigg Boss 14: Aamir Ali Turns Down The Show Despite Being Offered A Hefty Sum- EXCLUSIVE
