Let’s face it, a good romantic comedy is everyone’s guilty pleasure. Couple that with a comfy blanket and some fresh popcorn and you’ve got yourself a weekend plan that can never go wrong. For eons, we’ve relied on some of the older classic rom-coms from the 90s like Notting Hill, Serendipity, When Harry Met Sally etc. and while they are classics for a reasons, with the boom of digital content and streaming platforms becoming content creators, we have a host of great new ones as well. Here is our list of the best rom-coms on Netflix.

1. Always Be My Maybe

Starring Ali Wong and none other than Keanu Reeves in a spectacular special appearance, Always Be My Maybe is all fun. Childhood sweethearts are re-united and sparks fly again. It might not seem like a vastly different plot, but what makes the show special is the writing and the characters who are relatable and make you smile.

2. Set It Up

One of the hidden gems on Netflix is Set It Up, a cute film that makes for great viewing. Two overworked assistants have nothing resembling a life thanks to their jobs. They hatch a plan to set their bosses up with each other to try and get something close to a work-life balance which leads to a hilarious turn of events.

3. Love Per Square Foot

Yes, an Indian entry to the list of rom-coms because Love Per Square Foot is a sweet, sweet film. Set in the city of Mumbai where real estate is currency, a couple enters into a marriage of convenience to be able to afford a house. Soon, the lines blur and it becomes more than that. Watch to see Vicky Kaushal shine way before he became a popular actor.
