Zayn Malik’s radio silence on One Direction’s 10th anniversary raised a lot of eyebrows. The English singer and songwriter was grouped by The X Factor judges Nicole Scherzinger and Simon Cowell with Harry Styles, Niall Horan, Liam Payne and Louis Tomlinson for an act in 2010, post which Zayn and competitors formed a band One Direction and shot to fame, thus, carving a niche in the music industry. Hence, his no social media post as the band marked 10 years let his fans disappointed.
One of their fans wrote on Twitter, “Am I surprised that @zaynmalik hasn’t said anything? no. but am I still sad about it? yes very sad actually.” Meanwhile marking this special day on July 23, 2020, were the rest of the members of the band who took to their official social networking accounts to pen down their thoughts and share some memories. Harry Styles posted a picture of their gang hugging on the stage with the caption, “I’ve been struggling to put into words how grateful I am for everything that’s happened over the last ten years. I’ve seen things and places that I’d only ever dreamt of when I was growing up. I’ve had the pleasure of meeting and working with some of the most incredible people, and gained friendships that I know I will treasure for the rest of my life…”
Whereas Louis Tomlinson posted a first ever picture of them marking this special day on his Instagram, he wrote, “Our first ever photo together. The memories we've shared together have been incredible. Can't believe its been 10 years already. I look back incredibly proud. Thanks for everything lads and love to you the fans as always x”
