Two and a Half Men fame Conchata Ferrell who played the savage and sarcastic housekeeper Berta in the series has left for the heavenly abode. According to her publicist Cynthia Snyder, Conchata Ferrell died at Sherman Oaks Hospital in Los Angeles following a cardiac arrest. The actress was one of the most loved characters just like Alan Harper (Jon Cryer) and Charlie Harper (Charlie Sheen) Even though she played the role of a housekeeper, she was equally important to the show. She even received two Emmy supporting actress nominations for Two and a Half Men. Her co-star Jon Cryer, Charlie Sheen, Melanie Lynskey took to their Twitter handles and paid heartfelt tributes to the late actress.
 
Ferrell's co-star Jon Cryer AKA Alan took to social media to mourn her demise. "She was a beautiful human. Berta's gruff exterior was an invention of the writers. Chatty’s warmth and vulnerability were her real strengths. I’m crying for the woman I’ll miss, and the joy she brought so many", Cryer tweeted. He also shared memories of working with her on the show. Ferrell's other co-star Charlie Sheen also paid a heartfelt tribute. "An absolute sweetheart, a consummate pro, a genuine friend, a shocking and painful loss. Berta, your housekeeping was a tad suspect, your "people" keeping was perfect", Sheen tweeted.
 
Melanie, who played Rose in the series, also offered condolences as she tweeted, "Lovely, brilliant Chatti. I'm weeping. She was the warmest, most gracious lady. Her husband Arnie came to every single taping of Two And A Half Men and sat in the audience, beaming with pride. Her sweet daughter Samantha was often there too. Oh, she was loved. She will be missed."
