Martin Scorsese’s remarks over Marvel films - are not "real art" - caused tremendous uproar amongst the cinegoers and it appears MCU is still enraged about the same. While fans have defended their favorite cinematic universe by disputing Scorsese in every possible way, it appears MCU stars are also not quite happy about the comment even now.

In his recent interview, Spider-Man actor Tom Holland disputed the 'Taxi Driver' director, saying, "You can ask Scorsese ‘Would you want to make a Marvel movie?’ But he doesn’t know what it’s like because he’s never made one."

In no time, Holland’s comment went viral on the internet and it sparked a debate amongst MCU fans and Scorsese connoisseurs.

Amid the argument on Twitter, it appeared that many users were trolling Tom Holland for daring to dispute a legendary filmmaker of Scorsese's stature.

Holland’s comments come from a recent interview with Hollywood Reporter, where he added, “I’ve made Marvel movies and I’ve also made movies that have been in the conversation in the world of the Oscars, and the only difference, really, is one is much more expensive than the other.”

"But the way I break down the character, the way the director etches out the arc of the story and characters — it’s all the same, just done on a different scale. So I do think they’re real art," he further continued.

He, however, is not the first MCU star to conflict with Scorsese's opinion.

In fact, late star Chadwick Boseman had criticized the director in the past, as he said, "The mystery that Scorsese is talking about is in Black Panther. If he saw it, he didn’t get that there was this feeling of not knowing what was going to happen that black people felt."
