Nick Jonas has successfully forayed into acting. As a singer he has created his fan base and now he is enthralling all by being an awesome actor too. Many of his fans were looking forward to witnessing him in The Blacksmith - an action-thriller by Pierre Morel. Well, here is disappointing news. Owning to date issues, the actor-singer has backed out of the project. Latest reports have it that the makers are now looking for a new actor who can take Nick Jonas' place.
AGC CEO Stuart Ford was quoted saying to The Hollywood Reporter that due to Coronavirus situation and travel restrictions, Nick could not be a part of the project. He was quoted saying, "Nick, as you can imagine, has a lot of other commitments, with his acting and his music. Under normal circumstances, he could fly in and out, go to do things over the weekend, and come back to set Monday. But in a Covid-19 environment, that doesn't work. He'd have to stay in the same place for three months. With a star like Nick Jonas, it became borderline impossible to make the schedule work." He also shared that both the parties ended on amicable terms.
It was last year that The Blacksmith was announced with Nick Jonas headlining the project. Ford had then quoted that they are looking out for an equally powerful female lead opposite him.
Nick Jonas next has Chaos Walking on cards apart from Jumanji Reboot. The singer also has many music projects lined up with his brother. (Also Read: Nick Jonas Reveals Who Has The ‘Naming Rights’ While Talking About Having Kids With Priyanka Chopra; Says He’s Hoping ‘It Happens’)
