In an interview with Jimmy Fallon on The Tonight Show, Jim Parsons revealed how he lost his sense of smell and taste due to COVID-19 in the month of March. He was quoted saying, "Todd and I both had it early on. It was like… middle of March. We didn’t know what it was. We thought we had colds. And then it seemed less likely, and then finally we lost our sense of smell and taste. It defied the descriptions for me. I didn’t realise how completely taste and smell could be gone."
When Jimmy stated that it must have been difficult as one does not feel like eating, Jim stated that he ate everything but joked that it 'resulted in wasted calories' as he could not taste anything.
The actor who essayed the role of Sheldon Cooper in The Big Bang Theory also shared that he tried to do painting and writing to spend time during quarantine, however, he could not commit to anything. Jim stated, "I don’t know if the truth is, ‘Well, you’re just an actor and that’s what you do and that’s what you should do,’ or if it’s just I really don’t have the see-through stick-to-fitness for anything. It’s sort of embarrassing but, you know, here I am."(Also Read: Jim Parsons, Kristen Stewart, Ellen DeGeneres And More: Members Of Hollywood's Happy Gay Club)
