Recently, the entire world witnessed the chaos in Taylor Swift’s life when she took to her official Twitter to publicly claim that Scooter Braun and her former music label ‘The Big Machine Label Group’ have been creating issues for the songs she herself has put in effort into. Since then, as Taylor Swift was recently coveted with the ‘Billboard Women of the Decade’ award, during her speech, the ‘Lover’ singer took a jibe at her former record label manager Scooter Braun.

As the ‘Lover’ singer has had a phenomenal year this year, Taylor Swift was recently coveted with the honor of ‘Billboard Woman of the Decade’ award at the Billboard award event. At the event, while accepting the award, Taylor made sure she outshined and did not let anyone steal her limelight. During her award speech, Taylor Swift spoke about how she saw, that as a female in the industry, some people will always have the slightest reservations about you. The ‘Red’ singer went on to mention that the reservations include whether a male was really responsible in the studio or whether it was a savvy record label. Feeling the need to bring up the battle she faced about recently, addressing to her feud with Scooter Braun and her former record label, Taylor Swift mentioned that how people buying her music in a world of private equity, the singer explained how it all happened to her without her approval, consultation or consent, when her former boss Scott Borchetta sold the singer’s six albums to Scooter Braun.


As Taylor Swift was not done as of yet, during her speech, according to Billboard, the singer also called out Braun’s supporters who were in the same room and mentioned that Scooter never contacted her or her team to discuss things prior to the sale. Taylor went on to share about the toxic male privilege in the industry, as when she was raising valid concerns about artists and their right to their own music, people said to her that he has always been nice to them.


Meanwhile, Taylor Swift has recently been named as 2019’s People of The Year alongside Jennifer Aniston, Jennifer Lopez, and Michelle Obama. The singer has also won many accolades this year for her contribution to music.
