Tom Holland starrer Spider-Man: Far From Home released in July this year, after which the deal between Marvel and Sony which allowed for Spider-Man to appear in the Marvel films along with the Avengers heroes in the MCU had come to an end. This was very disappointing news for fans of Spider-Man and even Marvel Cinematic Universe. However, a few weeks ago, Disney and Sony once again struck a new deal and announced the comeback of Spider-Man to MCU. This film has been slated for a July 26, 2021 release.
While all’s well that ends well, Tom Holland seemed to have had a stressful week after the announcement of Disney and Sony split. Looks like Tom Holland was not happy about the split and at ACE Comic-Con Midwest, he opened up about the time when he thought his character Spider-Man had to say goodbye to MCU. Tom Holland was quoted saying by Comicbook.com, “If I'm honest. It was the most stressful week of my life, without question. Well...maybe the whole Disney/Sony thing when that happened, that was a bit of a stressful week."

Meanwhile, a few days ago, Disney CEO Bob Iger confirmed on Jimmy Kimmel Live! that Tom Holland was indeed the one behind the patch up of Disney and Sony and also the reason for Spider-Man’s comeback. Tom Holland called and spoke to Bob Iger and the latter said that he felt for Tom Holland and after the phone call, he decided to call the head of Sony and said that they gotta figure out a way to get this done for the fans and Tom.
