Not very long ago, Hollywood filmmaker Harvey Weinstein was found guilty of a criminal sexual act in the first degree and rape in the third degree. And after a lot of trials and hearings, Harvey was sentenced to 23 years of prison amid the presence of all his accusers. Now, if the recent reports are anything to go by, the filmmaker has been tested positive for novel coronavirus at the New York City jail, where he is undergoing his punishment. As per the netizens, it’s karma for Weinstein.

As per The Post, the movie mogul reportedly contracted the disease at Rikers Island and is now being kept under isolation at the Wende Correctional Facility near Buffalo, where he was diagnosed with COVID-19. The reports further added that the state Department of Corrections and Community Supervision haven't confirmed or denied about Harvey's health condition due to federal health-care privacy law; however, they reported about two jail inmates having coronavirus at Wende.

As per the officials, the filmmaker was infected at Rikers, wherein he was locked up before being shifted to Wende on Wednesday. The Associated Press, on Sunday, reported how New York City has witnessed the nation's biggest jailhouse coronavirus break, with around 38 inmates testing positive.

In other news, Harvey was rushed to hospital soon after being sentenced, reportedly, due to a 'dangerous' rise in his blood pleasure after the hearing. His spokesperson confirmed, "His blood pressure spiked to a dangerous level and given his angioplasty last week, they brought him to Bellevue to be watched and monitored. He did not have another angioplasty."
