NBA legend Kobe Bryant passed away in a tragic plane crash in California a few hours back. His 13-year-old daughter Gianna was with him when the unfortunate accident took place and was killed on the spot too. Meanwhile, as the 62nd Grammy Awards took place at the Staples Center in Los Angeles, which was Bryant’s home team for 20 years. While many stars remembered the legend via messages, Priyanka Chopra’s subtle yet emphatic tribute to Bryant left us teary eyed.
In an extremely thoughtful and emotional gesture, Priyanka sported Kobe Bryant’s jersey number, 24, on her nails, in purple. Purple is an official colour of the LA Lakers team. Priyanka gave a sneak peek at the nail art on her Instagram stories, she captioned it #RIPMamba. Not just Priyanka, the entire Jonas family paid a unique tribute to the legend via purple ribbons. Jonas brothers, Nick, Kevin and Joe flaunted the ribbons on their impeccable designer suits. Meanwhile at Grammy Awards 2020, Kobe Bryant was not forgotten. The ceremony kickstarted with a tribute to the late legend. Alicia Keys performed a heart wrenching, It’s so hard to say goodbye to yesterday, moving the audience to tears.
