In the Lonely Hour, Money on My Mind, Stay with Me, singer Sam Smith has managed to win our hearts with his songs and continues to do so even now. The singer rose to fame in 2012 after being featured on Disclosure's breakthrough single Latch that was on number eleven in the UK singles chart. Amidst the Coronavirus outbreak across the world, recently in an interview, the Oscar-winning singer mentioned that he think he was COVID-19 positive. Smith explained that he thinks he definitely had it.
Sam Smith revealed that he was in self-quarantine weeks before the lockdown was implemented as the he was convinced that he was COVID-19 positive and caught it while in UK. Speaking with Zane Lowe on Apple Music, Sam Smith mentioned that he did not get tested, but is very sure that he had it. The singer said, “I didn't get tested but I know I have it, 100 per cent have it. I'm just going to assume that I did because everything I've read completely pointed to that. So yeah, I think I definitely had it. And then as soon as I had it, my sister five days after me started getting the same symptoms who's living with me.”
The Oscar-winning musician said that he assumed he was positive for COVID-19 because everything he read completely pointed that and soon later his sister living with him started showing similar symptoms. Smith went on to share how it was clear for him and mentioned that because he has his grandmother with him, he didn’t want to risk anything. The singer revealed that he got it about two weeks before the UK really hit and added, “Well, I think I got it. I don't 100 percent know, but I got it and then as everyone was kind of really on lock down, that's when I got over it, luckily.”
