Amid the Coronavirus pandemic, a lot of films’ release dates had to be pushed forward. Last year, Tom Cruise’s latest action flick Mission Impossible 7 had been in production when the pandemic hit, and the shooting had been brought to a halt. However, as lockdown gradually eased, MI7 was among the first films to resume shooting again. The film faced several setbacks since production began, and now it is being reported that a gang of intruders gate crashed Mission Impossible 7 sets and Tom Cruise was forced to call security.
According to a report in The Sun, Tom Cruise has been shooting for his high-octane stunts in a vast quarry location. A few trespassers reportedly broke into the film set in Yorkshire, England, and as they climbed up the set, the security had to rush to get them down. A source told The Sun, “The set is so large and open that it has been impossible to close it all off. o trespassers have been getting in and attempting to scale the rigs and equipment set up for the stunts.”
The source added that the cops had to be called after an incident last week, and then Tom was forced to call security when it happened once more. “The set looks exciting and these people think it’s funny trying to get pictures of themselves there, but they don’t realise how dangerous it is,” informed the source. The makers might have to reinforce extra security precautions to avoid such incidents.
Apart from Tom Cruise, Mission Impossible 7 also stars Ving Rhames, Rebecca Ferguson, Simon Pegg, Hayley Atwell, Vaness Kirby. It was earlier scheduled to release in November 2021, however, it has now reportedly been pushed ahead to 2022.
