It was in the year 2019 that entrepreneur, reality TV star, model and the youngest member of the Jenner clan; Kylie Jenner was blessed with an addition to her never-ending list of claim to fame. Back then, the Kylie Cosmetics owner had snatched away the title of ‘world’s youngest self-made billionaire’ from Facebook head honcho, Mark Zuckerberg. Well, now, it’s time for celebrations in the Jenner household as it appears that Kylie has maintained the coveted title, as per the Forbes Magazine.
A huge credit for her net worth of around $1 billion goes to her Kylie Cosmetics empire and her appearance in Keeping Up With The Kardashians. It was first in November 2019 that Kylie got the title after signed up for a deal of a huge $600 million by selling 51% of her cosmetic company to that of beauty group Coty Inc. Well, the deal to retain 40% of her company, which concluded in January 2020, brought her up to $1.2 billion, making her one of 2095 billionaires in the world.
However, a section of people disagreed to the ‘self-made’ part in Kylie’s title because she comes from a famous and already-wealthy family. In response to which, Forbes defended their decision saying, “despite a lot of help from her famous family, she didn’t inherit her business — she built it.” Kylie Cosmetics came into existence in the year 2014 and it comprises of all kinds of make-up essentials after she started to produce lip kits from the $25, 000 that she earned from modeling gig. And the rest, as they say, is history.
In the past, Jenner had expressed her excitement by saying, “I didn’t expect anything. I did not foresee the future. But (the recognition) feels really good. That’s a nice pat on the back.”
