They say your friends and family are true critics when it comes to evaluating your work. The recent one to get a reality check for his work was wrestler-actor Dwayne Johnson. For all the animated movie lovers, it’s a known fact that Dwayne was the voice-over artist for the character Maui, in the movie Moana. While this 2016 movie got the actor appreciation from his fans, he failed to get the same reaction from his daughter Jasmine. In conversation with PEOPLE, he shared his daughter’s reaction to his character Maui, which was completely opposite from the audience.
Sharing an incident after watching the movie with his kids, when he started crooning the song in sync with the movie, his little daughter disapproved of him and blatantly asked him to stop. According to Jasmine, her dearest daddy could not meet the benchmark. He said, “You know, that’s Daddy’s voice, and I’m going to show you. Maui starts singing, and I then start singing, and within 10 seconds she’s trying to put a pillow over my mouth and says, ‘You’re ruining the song.'” ALSO READ:
