All eyes are on Johnny Depp and Amber Heard’s $100 million defamation lawsuit and the world is waiting for the judge’s verdict. Amid the lawsuit, Depp’s reputation has been tarnished leading to his ouster from several iconic films. However, his fans and several fellow celebrities have come to the actor’s defence. Interestingly, following the initiation of the defamation trial, a group of women celebrities—including Courtney Love, actress Eva Green, and singer Sia—have shown their support for Depp, reported TMZ.

Now, Greg Ellis, Johnny Depp’s The Pirates of the Caribbean co-star who plays Lieutenant Theodore Groves has candidly commented on the allegations as he lashed out at the Aquaman actor.

Taking to his Twitter handle, Ellis wrote, "Johnny Depp has not been charged or tried in a court of law.

He is beloved in the industry.

Amber Heard knew exactly what she was doing when she set out on legal maneuvers 6 years ago.

She is universally detested in the industry.

She is on trial ~ a jury will decide her fate."

Recently, Mission NGO, an abuse group defending the rights of women and children, reportedly voiced its support for Johnny Depp amid his $50 million defamation lawsuit against Ex-wife Amber Heard.

Earlier last week, Heard suggested that she’s being portrayed as being dishonest because Depp is a ‘bigger star’ and has ‘more publicity reach’.

She said: "My interest is in my name – in clearing my name. At the time, I was being called a ‘liar’ and my motives were being questioned. I did see it as important to clear that up."

She added: "I wanted to make a statement to make sure there was not any doubt. That I couldn’t be labelled these things just because Johnny was the bigger star and had more publicity reach."

The Aquaman actress has repeatedly accused her ex-husband of physically abusing her throughout their marriage, however, the tides seem to be turning around for Depp. In an audio recording presented during the defamation, the actress is heard admitting to instigating a physical fight with her ex-husband.

Depp’s legal team has also pointed to the lack of evidence, such as photographs and medical records, that would support Heard’s abuse claims.
