Hollywood actor Johnny Depp lost the defamation court case he filed against newspaper The Sun and ex-wife Amber Heard. Johnny and Amber separated on a nasty note after they hurled a streak of accusations on each other. Soon after the reports of him beating Amber Heard made headlines, The Sun newspaper had called him a wife-beater in the headline. Depp sued the publication for printing the article in the Sun in April 2018. The headline of the article had read, ‘Gone Potty: How can JK Rowling be 'genuinely happy' casting wife-beater Johnny Depp in the new Fantastic Beasts film?'
According to a report in Daily Mail, the London High Court ruled out that the Pirates Of Caribbean Sea actor is indeed a wife-beater after his former wife claimed that Depp hit her 14 times during their abusive relationship. The report further claims that Amber divulged the deets of those 14 occasions when Depp assaulted her. She even provided the graphic details of his drink and drugs fuelled attacks.
Earlier, Daily Mail quoted an entry on July 27, 2015, from her diary, “After three hours of sleep and the terrible fight we got in last night, we are both walking zombies today. We finally fell asleep with one another smashed together in desperate childlike anger, fear, and love. Our fight was terrible. J at one point found himself with his shirt wrapped around my neck. He hit me several times. I don't even know how I wound up with this huge, rather annoying knot around the back of my head. F*** I hate that. You'll die a lonely man.”
