Just like any other Super Bowl, Super Bowl 2020 was also the most-awaited one. It piqued the fans interest, even more, is because of the Pop singers Jennifer Lopez and Shakira who as promised brought a super energetic jolt with their smashing performance at Super Bowl 2020 half time. They had set the stage on fire, leaving their fans into a frenzy. Even Priyanka Chopra found it incredible who took to her Twitter handle and extended a tweet on them saying, “Damn!!! That halftime show.. incredible to see such powerful women coming together for such an incredible performance. @shakira u were so fierce!!! @JLo I have no words. We r not worthy! Incredible! #HalftimeShow #SuperBowl2020.”

However, their performance was not impressed by a certain section of people and they are late Kobe Bryant’s fans. As the two ladies were burning up the dance floor, the fans are miffed as they haven’t given a tribute to the late NBA star who died in a helicopter crash on January 26. According to US Magazine, Shakira was quoted at a Super Bowl press conference on Thursday, “We’ll all be remembering Kobe on Sunday and celebrating life and diversity in this country. I’m sure he’d be very proud to see the message we are trying to convey on stage that day.” After a mention, there was no performance on his honour and hence, started pouring in hate comments on social media.

One Twitter user wrote, “Guess seeing @JLo on a pole is more important than a Kobe tribute. You suck #PepsiHalftime #KobeForever.” While another Twitter user expressed their outrage by writing, “So Jennifer Lopez and Shakira used that they were doing a tribute to Kobe Bryant as an excuse to get their views up during the halftime show not only [but then] proceeded to do NO Kobe Bryant tribute like they said they would…but are we surprised?” We also collected a few tweets, check them out below:

Bryant and his daughter Gianna passed away in a helicopter crash on January 26 where Lopez even shared her condolence to the Bryant family.
