There has been a lot of curiosity among fans about the wedding of Jennifer Lopez and her fiancé Alex Rodriguez. The lovebirds got engaged last year in May, and even Michelle and Barack Obama congratulated them! Post this, several reports and speculations about where the two would get married had surfaced on social media. From Mexico to Aspen to Vatican and even Miami, various portals and tabloids mentioned various locations where they would tie the knot. However, is any of it true?
Last year in March, even before the news of their engagement surfaced, OK! reported that Alex and JLo had planned a destination wedding in Mexico. A source had informed the publication that Jennifer Lopez wanted her wedding to coincide with her 50th birthday in July as she loves being the center of attention. However, Gossip Cop had found out that the report was false, as they hadn’t even announced their engagement back then, so to think they were already planning their ceremony didn’t seem plausible. After that, OK! had reported that the two would get married at The Vatican. However, a source informed Gossip Cop that this report was untrue, as well.
A more recent report about their wedding location was published by Life & Style. They wrote that JLo and Alex would marry on a mega-yacht off the coast of Miami. However, Gossip Cop once again squashed the rumour after a source close to Jennifer Lopez informed them it was false.
As for the latest update on Jennifer Lopez and Alex Rodriguez’s wedding, Gossip Cop reports that their wedding has been paused for the time being due to COVID-19. In an interview with Access Hollywood, Jennifer Lopez had revealed their decision to put their wedding plans on hold. So no, they are not about to have a grand lavish wedding soon.
