Popular sitcom FRIENDS completed 25 years in the recent times, since then the cast including David Schwimmer, Courteney Cox, Lisa Kudrow, Matt LeBlanc, Matthew Perry, and Jennifer Aniston are spilling deets about their memorable times spent together. Though all these actors were seen in poles apart roles in their career nothing close to what they played in FRIENDS, fans still continue to recognize and associate with them this sitcom.
Due to which Jennifer Anitson who played Rachel Green in the sitcom faced difficult times to come out of this mould and look convincing enough in other roles as well. During The Hollywood Reporter's Drama Actress Roundtable, when she was quizzed about the same, she spoke about fighting typecasting. She said, “You just exhaust yourself. I mean, I could not get Rachel Green off of my back for the life of me. I could not escape "Rachel from Friends," and it's on all the time and you're like, "Stop playing that f*****g show!" The Good Girl was the first time I got to really shed whatever the Rachel character was and to be able to disappear into someone who wasn't that was such a relief to me.”
The Dumplin actress recalls of the time when she believed she was only meant to play that good girl in the sitcom. Going ahead she tried and experimented in her career by signing different roles and proving to herself as well as the industry, she is more than just Rachel Green.
