Irrfan Khan's death has shaken the entire acting industry. Not just Bollywood, even Hollywood stars are mourning his death. Irrfan Khan did quite a few films in the West and was pretty popular among the stars. Starting with Slumdog Millionaire, he went on to do films like Life of Pi, Inferno with Tom Hanks, Jurassic World with Chris Pratt, Namesake and many more. After the director of Jurassic World, Irrfan's co-star Chris Pratt took to Twitter to express grief on his demise.
Chris Pratt tweeted, "So sad to hear about the passing of screen legend @irrfank Irrfan Khan played Masrani in Jurassic World. He was an exquisite actor and human. He will be missed." Director of Slumdog Millionaire, Danny Boyle too shared his experience of working with Irrfan Khan and called him a 'wonderful actor'. In a video-link sent to BBC, the director paid his tribute to Irrfan Khan by saying, "Irrfan was a wonderful actor and a pivotal figure in the making of Slumdog Millionaire. It wasn’t a huge role, in fact on paper it was even less rewarding looking. But Irrfan saw the possibility of guiding our audience with his dignity, his grace, his charm, his intelligence and his calmness, through this crossword puzzle of an idea, of a film."
Danny Boyle also narrated how Irrfan Khan came onboard Slumdog Millionaire. "He also reassured one of our most significant partners on the film, Peter Rice of Fox Searchlight, who as a friend before he was involved in the film told me cast Irrfan Khan in it, whether there was a role for him or not, he said: ‘Just get that guy’," Danny said.
Truly, Irrfan Khan was a legend who is irreplaceable.
