The world of Marvel Cinematic Universe (MCU) is all and only about superheroes, Iron Man, Thor, Captain America and Spider-Man are a few to be named. But, what if we tell you that, at one point in time, there were plans of X-Men joining in the Marvel’s superhero clan? Yes, as massive as it sounds, a deleted scene from Marvel film Iron Man, which starred Robert Downey Jr in the titular role, hinted at the fact that the makers did want to infuse X-Men into MCU.

Marvel president Kevin Feige made the big reveal while accepting the Saturn Awards’ first-ever Stan Lee World Builder Award, showing Nick Furry referring to both Spider-Man and X-Men. At the event, Kevin Feige unveiled the deleted post-credit scenes starring Hollywood actor Samuel L. Jackson from the 2008 film, Iron Man.

As per a report by Entertainment Weekly, Kevin said, “We pulled some things out of that vault that we said, ‘We will never show this to anybody, put it away,’ We’re bringing them out, we’re putting them on this disc, and I’m about to show you a deleted scene that has never been seen by anyone before right now.”

In the scene, Nick Furry could be seen talking to Iron Man about the Avengers initiative and how he has to be careful about ‘gamma accidents, radioactive bug bites and assorted mutants’ and, further, he also has to ‘deal with a spoiled brat who doesn’t play well with others and wants to keep all his toys to himself.’

This footage was shown after Avengers: Endgame director duo Joe Russo and Anthony Russo called Spider-Man exiting MCU as one ‘tragic mistake.’ FYI, Spider-Man has been separated from the MCU as Disney and Sony failed to reach a deal on the upcoming films of the Avengers franchise.
