Grammy Awards are considered among the most prestigious awards presented by the Recording Academy to recognize and honor achievements in the music industry. Grammy Awards 2021 or the 63rd Grammy Awards will be held in two months, on January 31, 2021. There had been a lot of excitement about the nominees this time around, and the list was unveiled on Tuesday. Popular K-pop band BTS earned their first-ever Grammy nomination for their hit song BTS.

 BTS earned a nomination in Best Pop Duo/Group Performance category for their hit single ‘Dynamite’. The band has created history as they became the first K-pop group ever to be recognized by the award ceremony, and to earn a nomination in a major category of Grammys nomination. While BTS fans are overly excited by this, the group also posted their reaction to the Grammy nomination. The video shows V, Jungkook, RM and Jimin eagerly listening to the nomination list being read out. On hearing their name being announced, the group jumps with joy and celebrates.

Their song ‘Dynamite’ is a huge hit among fans and  it had earlier topped the Billboard Hot 100 chart. Before the nomination list was unveiled, BTS had an interview with Esquire, wherein RM said that they were hoping that they would be nominated for Grammys this year. “I think the GRAMMYs are the last part, like the final part of the whole American journey,” he said.

Apart from BTS, other nominations in the category include  'Un Dia (One Day)' (J Balvin, Dua Lipa, Bad Bunny and Tainy), 'Intentions' (Justin Bieber Featuring Quavo), 'Rain On Me' (Lady Gaga with Ariana Grande), and 'Exile' (Taylor Swift Featuring Bon Iver).
