The death of African American man named George Floyd has created a furore across the world with many people protesting. George Floyd passed away on May 25 after a white police officer named Dereck Chauvin, now fired and charged, pinned him down by the neck for 8 minutes 46 seconds until irresponsive in the presence of three other officials. Amidst the massive outcry and nationwide protests in the US after George Floyd’s death, actress Jennifer Lopez shared a video as fiancé Alex Rodriguez and she took to the streets to protest holding signboards in their hands.
Taking to her Instagram, JLo posted a video featuring fiancé Alex and herself walking along with protestors on the streets. As Jennifer is spotted protesting for the injustice done across the world on the basis of colour and lots more, she wrote, “Today I had Emme and Max make me and Alex a sign for the protest.” The video features JLo dressed in a pair of casuals, while Alex is sporting a hoodie. As the Hustler actress was seen holding signboards that read #BlackLivesMatter, JLo shared that they were made by her kids Emme and Max.
Moving on, Jennifer Lopez also shared how her son Max told her a few days ago that since she has a massive following on social media, she should also support George Floyd. The actress then went on to share how she mentioned to her son that she is planning a few things and asked him whether he wants to help her make a sign. Expressing her thoughts about the injustice across the world, JLo concluded her caption writing, “That this country was built on the belief of freedom and justice for all. We must take a stand for what we believe in and fight against the injustices in this world. So we continue to peacefully protest until there is change. #BlackLivesMatter #GetLoud #CallingAllMamas #TeachThemYoung.”
