The first Hollywood celebrity to have reported positive for Coronavirus is Tom Hanks. He along with his wife Rita Wilson tested positive and were hospitalised in Australia. The actor took to social media to make the announcement and asked everyone to stay safe. Now, the latest reports suggest that the Forrest Gump actor and his wife have been discharged from the hospital and have been adviced to be in self-quarantine.
As reported by CNN, Hanks and his wife were in Australia to do the pre-production work on his film based on Elvis Presley and that's when they contracted the virus. Now they are doing fine and hence released from the hospital where they were kept in isolation. While sharing the news of them being infected with COVID-19, Tom Hanks shared on social media, "We felt a bit tired, like we had colds, and some body aches. Rita had some chills that came and went. Slight fevers too. To play things right, as is needed in the world right now, we were tested for the Coronavirus, and were found to be positive,' Hanks said in his first Instagram post about the diagnosis. "Well, now. What to do next? The Medical Officials have protocols that must be followed. We Hanks' will be tested, observed, and isolated for as long as public health and safety requires. Not much more to it than a one-day-at-a-time approach, no? We'll keep the world posted and updated. Take care of yourselves!"
Apart from Tom Hanks, another star from Hollywood who has been tested positive for coronavirus is Idris Elba. Today morning, The Wire star took to Twitter to announce that he is in quarantine as he has been infected by COVID-19.
