Brienne of Tarth played by Gwendoline Christie in Game of Thrones series received a nomination at Emmy Awards 2019 in the outstanding supporting actress category. She was competing with Sophie Turner who played Sansa Stark in GoT among others. Gwendoline Christie obviously made it to the event and called for attention with her outfit. She was wearing a creation by Gucci in white and red. However, netizens had a twisted take on her attire and she got compared to Jesus. We are not kidding!
Gwendoline Christie wore a silk white gown with a red robe on it. Her attire gave everyone classic Roman feels and some even compared it to that of Jesus. At Emmy Awards 2019, Game of Thrones won in the most prestigious category, i.e., Outstanding Drama Series. Peter Dinklage who played Tirion won the trophy in Outstanding Supporting Actor. Sophie Turner and Kit Harrington were nominated too in various categories but they did not make it to the end. Well, even though they didn’t win, they won over the internet with their famous hug.
