Now, according to reports, Will Smith and Antoine Fuqua’s movie Emancipation gets sold to Apple TV+ for more than 120 million dollars. Reportedly, Apple Studios has committed about Rs. 906 crore to pick up the film based on slavery.
According to a report in Deadline, Will Smith's next movie, Emancipation is sold to Apple TV+. The movie starring Will Smith is sold for more than 120 million dollars i.e about Rs. 906 crores. As per the report, the Will Smith film Emancipation that is based on slavery was sold to Apple Studios after they won the bid against Warner Bros. Talking about the film Emancipation, the movie revolves around the story of a runaway slave played by Will Smith who should outwit Confederate hunters and the swamps of Louisiana to finally make his way to join the Union Army.
The American Civil War-era action thriller about slavery is based on the reference of an 1863 photo taken of Gordon during an Army medical examination that featured in Independent and in the July 4 issue of Harper’s Weekly. The picture titled ‘The Scourged Back’ tells the gruesome tale of slavery and cruelty on people in America.
