One of the most coveted honours down West – Critics’ Choice Awards – is back with its 25th annual edition and, on Sunday, the Critics' Choice Association disclosed the nominations list for the same. This year, interestingly, Martin Scorsese's The Irishman, which had recently premiered on Netflix, is leading the race with a whopping 14 nominations. The list includes Best Picture, Best Director (Martin Scorsese), Best Actor (Robert De Niro), Best Supporting Actor (Al Pacino and Joe Pesci) and Best Acting Ensemble among various other categories.

Up next is Quentin Tarantino's Once Upon a Time in Hollywood that had bagged 12 nods, followed with Little Women, 1917, Marriage Story, Jojo Rabbit, Joker and Parasite. Russo Brothers’ Avengers: Endgame starring Robert Downey Jr, Chris Evans, Chris Hemsworth and others, too, has earned three nominations in the technical categories. It is Best Visual Effects, Best Action Movie and Best Sci-Fi or Horror Movie. Well, how can we forget the epic Game of Thrones? The popular fantasy show has received four nods at the CCA this year.
