After the WHO (World Health Organization) declared COVID-19 as a pandemic, many celebrities worldwide have decided to remain quarantined at home. With the deadly virus spreading rapidly and taking several lives across the world, the Kardashian family has been trying to have faith in the almighty. While being quarantined at home, the eldest member of the Kar-Jenner clan, Kourtney Kardashian took to her social media to share a picture of a quote from the Bible that suggests that God is punishing humans for their evil behaviour.
With the world in a chaotic situation currently, the events happening have been reminding people of several events that have been mentioned in the Holy Bible. On Instagram, Kourtney Kardashian shared a Bible quote circulating on the internet that was originally posted by American rapper Young Thug. The Bible passage from 2 Chronicles 7 highlighted in yellow shared by the Poosh founder read, “Whenever I hold back the rain or send locusts to eat up the crops or send an epidemic on my people, if they pray to me and repent and turn away from the evil they have been doing, then I will hear them in heaven, forgive their sins, and make their land prosperous again.”
Just for added effects, the highlighted Old Testament passage was shared with a warning emphasising, “PAY ATTENTION CHILDREN.” While the message circulates on social media, with the virus sweeping the world currently, many have been suggesting that God is making humans pay for their sins. Meanwhile, as the Biblical verse has gone viral, people around the world are not only comparing it to COVID-19 but also relating it to the locusts infection East Africa and South Asia has been witnessing since the past few months destroying all the crops.
On the other hand, just recently, Kim Kardashian also took to her Twitter to share a passage from a book where the author psychic Sylvia Browne’s predicted the current pandemic. While Kim was trolled for the tweet she made, with the current situation in the world many religious conspiracies are springing up suggesting that God is punishing everyone for the sins they have committed.
