As the effect of coronavirus is getting worse with every passing day, people are self-quarantining themselves. Since the deadly virus has taken many under its umbrella, some have even lost their lives due to the virus. A week ago, a 21-year-old Spanish football coach, Francisco Garcia has died from coronavirus who was also been suffering from a form of leukemia. Today, the recent one to get succumbed to coronavirus is the Doctor Who actress Sophia Myles' father Peter Myles.
The actress’ father was being diagnosed a while ago and was even admitted to the hospital. On March 22, his daughter shared a picture of Peter Myles who was seen lying on the hospital bed. While sharing the picture, she captioned it as, “Yesterday I went on a journey to see my father. This is the harsh reality of the Coronavirus.” Later that day, the actress shared another picture of herself, her father and her brother to her followers as a “nice memory,” to which she backed it with, “My father, my brother and I . A nice memory to share given what Dad is going through now.”
Sophia Myles, who received critical acclaim for her role as Madame de Pompadour in the Doctor Who episode The Girl in the Fireplace, took to Twitter on Sunday to share the news. While sharing the tragic news, her tweet read, "RIP Peter Myles. My dear Dad died only a few hours ago. It was the Corona Virus that finally took him.”
After hearing this sad news, some of her friends consoled her and tweeted her by saying, “Deeply sorry, Sophia. I will continue to remember your father as the charming, welcoming, and supportive vicar of St. George’s, Campden Hill back in the 1980s. Good memories. Lovely person. May he rest in peace.”
While another one tweeted, “When people say "oh but they were old/had health problems". Remember covid still robbed them of time they should have and would have had.... often a lot time of time. Stay home, stay safe and keep others at risk safe.”
