American rapper Cardi B is perhaps one of the most popular female rappers currently, known for some hit songs like Bodak Yellow, I Like It, Thru Your Phone, among others. Last year, at the Grammys, was a big moment for her as she won the award for the Best Rap Album for ‘Invasion Of Privacy’. Now, it looks like her Grammy Award has finally arrived in the mail while in quarantine and Cardi B could not be happier. She showed it off to her fans on social media as she took it out of the box.
Cardi B took to her Instagram story and posted a video of her opening the box which held the shiny golden gramophone. It was a year and a half ago at the 62nd Annual Grammy Awards that she won, and the trophy shows Cardi’s name engraved on it, along with the title of her award- "Best Rap Album – 2018.” Opening the box, she can be heard saying in the video, “I just received my Grammy to the right house."
Cardi B created history after she became the first solo female rapper to have won the prestigious award. The last female rapper who won the award for Best Rap Album was Lauryn Hill, and in 1997, she won as part of The Fugees for their album, The Score.
