Britney Spears' heartbreaking testimony at her conservatorship hearing left everyone shocked. During her court hearing, Britney said that the 'conservatorship is doing me way more harm than good' and also mentioned that she is not happy and wants her life back. Post her testimony, many celebrities including Halsey, Mariah Carey and others came out in support of the singer and demanded her freedom.
And now, as per latest reports, Britney is reportedly set to file legal documents requesting to end her 13-year-long conservatorship.
According to a report on JustJared.com, Samuel D. Ingham III, the court appointed lawyer for the singer, has prepared legal documents to terminate her conservatorship. A tweet by US Weekly justice editor claimed that 'Sources have confirmed to @usweekly that #BritneySpears and her lawyer just filed a petition to terminate her conservatorship. At the end of business day, the petition had not been filed but sources said that the termination paperwork had been prepared.'
As per ETimes, TMZ and Page Six had earlier published reports about the developments of the #FreeBritney movement and stated that the paperwork had been filed. However, some fans pointed out that the reports were later removed.
For the uninitiated, a day after her conservatorship hearing, Britney took to Instagram to share a quote about fairy tales by Albert Einstein and in her caption the singer apologized for 'pretending' to be OK on social media when she was not happy in her life. The singer also mentioned that she was embarrassed to share her story.
