The pop singer Britney Spears' father Jamie Spears who had criminal charges after an alleged incident in August won't be facing child abuse charges. The complaint was filed by Britney's ex-husband Kevin Federline, accusing him of being involved in a physical altercation with the exes’ eldest son Sean. According to TMZ, the star's mother Lynne will ask a judge to terminate Jamie as Britney's conservator in a court hearing scheduled for Wednesday, as she believes he is 'no longer fit' to continue in the role.
According to the DA's office, "The Ventura County Sheriff's Office investigated allegations involving child abuse by Mr Spears. After reviewing the evidence, there is insufficient proof that a criminal offence was committed by Mr Spears." A source spoke with ET earlier this month and said that Jamie and Sean got into an argument, which resulted in Sean locking himself in a bedroom. In order to check on him, Jamie broke down the bedroom door and according to the source, Jamie "put his hands on Sean" once inside, to see if Sean had any visible bruises or injuries following the alleged incident.
Further, the report suggested that Jamie petitioned the court to allow him to step down as his daughter's conservator. The request was granted on September 9.
Recently, the singer shared an adorable throwback snap of her sons Jayden and Sean's childhood photo who are seen chilling on the beach while their mommy looks on to them. Jayden turned 13 on Thursday and Sean celebrated his 14th birthday on Saturday.
