The actor is loved for his films and direction skills and has also garnered several awards for his hard work. Now, after receiving dozens of nominations and awards during his entire career as an actor and director, Bradley Cooper shares what he feels about the Hollywood’s Awards season. The A Star Is Born actor slams the awards season and said that they are ‘utterly meaningless’ and a ‘devoid of artistic creation’.

In an interview with Anthony Ramos for Interview Magazine, Bradley Cooper opened up about his thoughts on the awards season while speaking with his A Star Is Born co-actor. During the interview, talking about the awards season, Anthony Ramos said, “It’s funny, you hit awards season and it can be easy for us to make it about individual people. But on set, you have your call sheet, and even though you have your leads, it’s a team effort. The grips, the director of photography—that movie is not happening without them. Everyone is the star of that movie.”

As Anthony Ramos opened up about how everyone is the star of the movie and that making a movie is a team effort, Bradley Cooper agreed and went on to share what he had to say about the awards season. The A Star is Born actor said, “That awards season stuff is a real test. It’s set up to foster that mentality. It’s quite a thing to work through, and it’s completely devoid of artistic creation.” Cooper mentioned that the awards season is a real test and added that it’s completely devoid of artistic creation. The actor continued, “It’s not why you sacrifice everything to create art, and yet you spend so much time being a part of it if you’re, in quotes, ‘lucky enough to be a part of it.’”

Bradley Cooper opened up about his thoughts on the awards season and further added, “It’s ultimately a great thing because it really does make you face ego, vanity, and insecurity. It’s very interesting and utterly meaningless.” The actor mentioned that the awards season is a great thing ultimately because it really does make one face ego, vanity and insecurity, but continued to share that it’s also very interesting and then called it ‘utterly meaningless’.
