Aquaman 2 has left the audience enraged as a section of netizens have been rejecting the film for having cast Amber Heard alongside Jason Momoa. The brutal reactions come immediately after DC Studios officially revealed the teaser of Aquaman 2 which featured Amber Heard’s return as Mera despite the controversies surrounding ex-husband Johnny Depp.

Fans look unhappy and ready to boycott the Aquaman sequel just because of Heard’s presence. The second instalment in the Aquaman franchise will be the last DC movie of 2023, and Warner Bros have high hopes for the sequel after the first one became the biggest DC film of all time.

However, fans were instantly left fuming over the first sight of Amber Heard. Another reason for fans’ displeasure was Johnny Depp being instantly replaced in Fantastic Beasts as the scandal broke out. Many claimed that this is unfair and some said that this was plain misandry.

For those unaware, Johnny Depp and Amber Heard’s trial was one of the ugliest courtroom slugfests in the history of Hollywood. The Aquaman actress had accused Depp of domestic abuse charges and said that he was a possessive husband.

Johnny Depp refuted the allegations and filed a defamation case in a Virginia court and he won the case. The trail ended with Depp being awarded $10 million in damages. While Heard was awarded $2 million in damages as well for being "defamed" by Heard's lawyer who had accused her of creating a hoax.

Heard has repeatedly accused Depp of physical and mental violence, which Depp has denied.
