The death of Chadwick Boseman in August 2020 left millions of his fans shattered. It also led to a question - what will happen to the kingdom of Wakanda? Black Panther 2 was already announced with Chadwick Boseman essaying the titular role as its first instalment. Now, the Marvel Studios President Kevin Feige has opened up on what is happening with Black Panther 2. He revealed that there will be no computer graphics used to create Chadwick Boseman.

To Deadline, Boseman stated, "So much of the comics and that first movie is the world of Wakanda. Wakanda is a place to further explore with characters and different subcultures. This was always and initially the primary focus of the next story." He also shared, "We’re not going to have a CG Chadwick and we're not recasting T'Challa."

Talking about the script, Feige showed utmost confidence in Ryan Coogler who is penning the next part of Black Panther. He was quoted saying, "Ryan Coogler is working very hard right now on the script with all the respect and love and genius that he has, which gives us great solace, so it was always about furthering the mythology and the inspiration of Wakanda. There's also the task of honoring and respecting the ongoing learnings and teachings from Chad as well."

As reported, Black Panther 2 will go into production sometime in mid-2021 and will make it to the theatres in the year 2022. Letitia Wright, Lupita Nyong’o, Winston Duke and Angela Bassett are expected to be a part of it.  (Also Read: Ben Affleck, Charlize Theron, Late Chadwick Boseman And Other Actors Who Delivered Best Performances In Foreign Films 2020)
