The BAFTA TV Awards 2021 are currently creating huge buzz right now and for many reasons. The BAFTA Television Awards were held on Sunday, June 6 at London's Television Centre. Some of the biggest celebrities from British Television put their best fashion foot forward as they graced the red carpet. As many are aware, the BAFTA awards were hosted by actor-comedian Richard Ayoade.
Talking about the winners, Michaela Coel of I May Destroy You and Paul Mescal of Noram People bagged top honours. Coel picked up the prestigious award for not only the Best Actress, but also for Best Mini-Series at the BAFTA TV ceremony. Coel dedicated her win to the intimacy director and said, 'I want to dedicate this award to the director of intimacy Ita O'Brien. Thank you for your existence in our industry, and professional boundaries so that we can make work about exploitation, loss of respect, about abuse of power, without being exploited or abused in the process.'
