When Avatar released, it shattered almost every box office record there was and sat atop the highest-grossing film of all time chart until Avengers: Endgame, and created a massive following. The Avatar fandom is huge and everyone was excited when the sequel was announced by the talismanic director James Cameron. The sequel of Avatar is highly-anticipated and there’s a lot of hype going on around it. Just to keep all the fans interested and excited, a picture from the sets featuring Zoe Saldana, Kate Winslet, Cliff Curtis and Sam Worthington was posted on the Twitter page of Avatar.
Soon after the picture was shared, everyone on the social media platform tried to figure out whatever they could from the little glimpse. The picture shows the cast including Zoe Saldana, Kate Winslet, Cliff Curtis , and Sam Worthington in the gallon tank which was built specifically for the sequel, according to the tweet. They can be seen in their bodysuits whole covered in motion sensor dots and the pool filled with balls. The picture was shared with the caption: ‘From the set of the sequels: @ZoeSaldana, Sam Worthington, Kate Winslet, and Cliff Curtis taking a break from underwater performance capture for a quick photo!”
Sharing a trivia with fans, the caption further read, “Fun fact: Much of the performance capture took place in this 900,000 gallon tank, built specifically for the sequels.” Take a look:

Kate Winslet and Cliff Curtis too will be seen in new lead roles. Meanwhile, Zoe Saldana and Sam Worthington will return as Neytiri and Jake Sully. The shooting for the sequel of Avatar was halted in March owing to the Coronavirus outbreak, however, the film will continue to shoot in New Zealand as the situation with COVID-19 seems to have improved there. James Cameron told Empire Magazine, “So there's a very good chance that our shoot might be delayed a couple of months, but we can still do it. So that's good news," he added.
