India being massively affected due to COVID-19’s second wave, got many countries across the globe extending their support, by raising funds and also supplying medical aid to the COVID-19 patients. In the last couple of months, it was also observed that celebrities who enjoy a massive fan following across all the continents too helped India come out of this tragic situation. After Reese Witherspoon, Shawn Mendes, Will Smith and more, Angelina Jolie has joined the league.

The actress who is busy promoting her upcoming movie, Those Who Wish Me Dead, termed the situation in India ‘beyond heartbreaking’ as she spoke to NDTV. She said, "Well, I would certainly say to everyone, I mean, to the people of India, we've been-we're all with a very heavy heart, and just, there is really no words to express the grief, solidarity for all that the people of India are suffering." Further praying for the people who have lost their close ones during this pandemic.

"It's beyond heartbreaking. I'm just-we're all watching and praying that it improves and our hearts go out to all the families who have lost so many family members and are suffering at this moment," added the actress.


As she plays a frontline worker in her upcoming film, speaking about the individuals who dedicated their lives during this pandemic, she said, "And yes, this film, playing a frontline worker, thinking of all the frontline workers, for all the people that have decided to take jobs of service and dedicate their lives and risk their lives for others; is there a more noble profession?
