The search for 'Jane Doe' - in connection to a case filed against Brad Pitt - has ended!
For the unversed, Jolie and Pitt parted ways in 2019. However, there was confusion regarding who Jane Doe was. This revelation comes amid the star couple's bitter divorce battle.
The latest development comes in connection to the suit filed against the bureau in April - anonymously as Jane Doe - concerning Pitt, reportedly in a bid to find out why no criminal charges were brought against her ex following the 2016 flight that led to her to file for divorce, reported PageSix.
Jolie is reported to be known as the unnamed plaintiff who was behind the FBI lawsuit related to Brad Pitt's assault allegations. A Variety report from Puck claimed that Jolie has told the FBI agent that brad ‘physically and verbally assaulted’ her and their children when they were aboard a plane.
The Puck News report further stated that the suite filed by Doe said, “Several years ago, while plaintiff, her then-husband, and their children, who were all minors at the time, were traveling via private aircraft, the husband allegedly physically and verbally assaulted plaintiff and the children,”.
The lawsuit was also pursued to “better understand the FBI’s investigation and obtain information necessary for her children to receive medical care and trauma counseling.”
The FBI notes maintained that Brad allegedly took Angelina to the back of the plane, grabbed her shoulders and shouted things like, “You’re f*****g up this family."
Angelina in her complaint had also alleged that during the same flight, another physical altercation occurred which caused her to sustain injuries and also claimed that Pitt was drinking at the time and he had even poured beer on her.
However, the actor’s team had reportedly refuted all the allegations.
Later, in April, Jolie reportedly filed a lawsuit against the FBI in April requesting documents related to an investigation concerning Pitt, in an attempt to find out why no criminal charges were brought against her ex-following the 2016 flight incident that led her to their split.
According to Page Six, a source close to Pitt stated that all parties had been sent copies of all reports pertaining to the incident, adding, "Angelina and her team have been desperately trying to find something. This is all for show. This is all information that she already had five and half years ago. There is nothing new here."
