Angelina Jolie and Brad Pitt, once considered as Hollywood’s golden couple, are currently involved in a legal battle over the custody of their children. Angelina and Brad had met on the set of the film Mr and Mrs Smith in 2004, after which they started dating. Angelina filed for a divorce in 2016, and cited irreconcilable differences as the cause for their split. Now, according to the latest development in their divorce trial, new court records reveal that the actress has claimed that she has proof of alleged domestic violence.
According to a report in ET, Angelina alleged in the new court records that she is willing to offer ‘proof and authority’ against Brad Pitt with regards to her domestic violence claim. She has reportedly also filed another document about the testimony of their minor children. The couple share six kids- Maddox, 19, Zahara, 16, Pax, 17, Shiloh, 14, and twins Knox and Vivienne, 12. According to Daily Mail, back in 2016, Brad had been investigated by the FBI and socials services regarding reports that he got verbally abusive and physical with his children on a private jet. However, he was cleared of the allegations back then, and the investigation was closed.
While speaking with British Vogue in February 2021, Angelina Jolie said that the past few years have been pretty hard.
“I’ve been focusing on healing our family. It’s slowly coming back, like the ice melting and the blood returning to my body,” she said. ALSO READ: Angelina Jolie And Grey’s Anatomy's 'Meredith Grey' Ellen Pompeo SPOTTED On A Dinner Date Together With Their Kids; Fans Can’t Keep Calm
