Amidst Coronavirus Scare, Vin Diesel, John Cena's Fast And Furious 9 Gets Pushed By A Year; Gets New Release Date

Vin Diesel, John Cena and others starrer Fast And Furious 9 titled F9: The Fast Saga was supposed to hit the theatres this May, however, thanks to the rapid spread of Coronavirus, the film's release has been pushed by a year.

Coronavirus has affected a lot of people all over the globe. Major events have been called off because of the rapid spread of COVID-19. From film premieres to award shows, a lot of events have been pushed to later dates as it has been advised by medical officers that mass gatherings should be avoided to fight Coronavirus.  Amidst this, the team of Fast and Furious 9 has decided to change the release date of the film and push it to the next year. The film titled F9: The Fast Saga was supposed to hit the theatres on May 22, 2020, however, now it has been postponed.

The official announcement came from the Fast and Furious team as they took to Twitter to share the new release date of F9. Putting up a statement on Twitter, the team revealed that the film will now hit the theatres only next year in April. In the statement, the team shared that they are disappointed to announce the postponement of the film, however, it's in the safety of all. An excerpt reads, "While we know there is disappointment in having to wait a little while longer, this move is made with the safety of everyone as our foremost consideration."

Well, fans will have to wait for long to witness the next chapter of Fast and Furious. The anticipation for this film is pretty high as the trailer managed to pike the excitement among the fans. 


The trailer revealed that Sung Kang's character Han Leu is still alive and fans couldn't contain their excitement as they went berserk on Twitter rejoicing this piece of information.
