Here's a shocking piece of news for all Nicki Minaj fans. Hollywood rapper Nicki Minaj’s father Robert Maraj was recently killed in a road accident. Robert Maraj died after being struck by a hit-and-run driver near New York city. He was 64. As per an online report, Robert Maraj was walking alongside the road in Mineola on Long Island at 6.15 p.m. (11:15 GMT) on Friday.
According to a report in Indian Express, Nassau County police said that soon after the unfortunate accident took place, Maraj was taken to a hospital, where he was pronounced dead. It is also being reported that Police are asking people to come forward who have witnessed the fatal crash. Police further revealed that they have begun the investigation. For the unversed, Minaj was born to Onika Tanya Maraj in Trinidad and was raised in the New York City borough of Queens.
Nicki is yet to make any official statement about her father’s fatal accident. Soon after the reports of her father’s sad demise surfaced online, many took to their social media accounts and sent their condolences to Nicki. Rapsody wrote, “Sending love, light and prayers to @NICKIMINAJ and family.”
