However, Heard is adamant that the insurance company is liable to pay the damages she owes to Johnny Depp after losing the defamation trial held earlier this year.
The company argued over the fact that the jury found Amber's committed willful misconduct in her defamation of Johnny and they even said that it gives them an out in having to fulfil the policy.
Simply speaking, New York Marine and General Insurance Co. believe they are not responsible.
A recent TMZ report quoted the court documents which saw Amber arguing the exact opposite. She claimed that irrespective of the case’s outcome, New York Marine promised to pay her defense costs and judgments against her up to a million dollars.
According to the TMZ report, Amber Heard said that they are trying to wipe their hands clean, they're turning their back on that agreement ... including breach of contract, among other claims. Heard met them in court and asked a judge to ‘require the insurer to pony up.’
