Kylie Jenner had been declared as the ‘youngest self-made billionaire’ in the world by Forbes, but her ‘billionaire status’ was revoked by Forbes a few days ago. They published yet another story which was titled ‘Inside Kylie Jenner’s Web of Lies — and Why She’s No Longer a Billionaire’, and alleged that Kylie had lied about forged tax returns to look richer. Soon after, Kylie Jenner had slammed the website and shut down the accusations. Now, less than a week later, Forbes has named Kylie Jenner and Kim Kardashian’s husband Kanye West the top-earning celebrities of 2020.
Forbes, while citing Kylie Jenner as one of the highest-paid celebrities of 2020, mentioned that she sold a 51 percent stake in her makeup brand to Coty for 600 million dollars and it was enough to rank her as one of the biggest celebrity cashouts, and made the top spot in the Celeb 100 list. However, while mentioning the same, Forbes did throw subtle shade at Kylie by writing, “While she had exaggerated over the years about the size of her business, the money she pulled in from the deal was real —enough to rank as one of the biggest celebrity cashouts of all time.”
Meanwhile, as Forbes published the story last week revoking Kylie Jenner’s billionaire status, she took to her Twitter and wrote, “What am i even waking up to. i thought this was a reputable site… All i see are a number of inaccurate statements and unproven assumptions lol. i’ve never asked for any title or tried to lie my way there EVER. period.”
Kylie Jenner further pointed out a line mentioned in the article, and wrote, “even creating tax returns that were likely forged” that’s your proof? so you just THOUGHT they were forged? like actually what am I reading.” She stated that at a time like this, there are many more important things than fixating on how much money she has.
