A lot of events have been postponed due to the outbreak of Coronavirus. From MET Gala to Grammy's all the events have been affected. Though we thought 2021 would be the year to celebrate and things to go back to normal, we were mistaken. Due to the surge in Coronavirus cases in Los Angeles, the 63rd Annual Grammy Awards which was supposed to take place in the end of January 2021 has now been postponed till March.

An official statement has been released on the Grammy Awards website. The statement reads, "After thoughtful conversations with health experts, our host and artists scheduled to appear, we are rescheduling the 63rd Annual GRAMMY Awards® to be broadcast Sunday, March 14, 2021. The deteriorating COVID situation in Los Angeles, with hospital services being overwhelmed, ICUs having reached capacity, and new guidance from state and local governments have all led us to conclude that postponing our show was the right thing to do. Nothing is more important than the health and safety of those in our music community and the hundreds of people who work tirelessly on producing the show."

It further mentions, "We want to thank all of the talented artists, the staff, our vendors and especially this year's nominees for their understanding, patience and willingness to work with us as we navigate these unprecedented times."

Reportedly, it is comedian Trevor Noah who is going to host the 63rd Annual Grammy Awards which will now air on March 14, 2021. Beyonce, Dua Lipa, Taylor Swift and rapper Roddy Ricch have received the maximum nominations in different categories for Grammy Awards.
