Sabyasachi Mukherjee Temporarily Shuts Shop And Declares Paid Leaves For His Employees Amidst COVID-19 Pandemic

Ace designer Sabyasachi Mukherjee who announced temporarily shutting down his stores, also declared paid leave for his employees. Putting them and their health on priority, he assured to fight Coronavirus collectively and rise against it with social distancing and safety measures

With COVID-19 Pandemic everything has come to a standstill, including almost all the offices to schools to almost all the film production units across the world. Now ace designer Sabyasachi Mukherjee taking to this Instagram account has announced shutting down all his factories in order to take precautionary measures against this pandemic. Mentioning in his post putting his employees on the topmost priority and allowing them a paid leave, has let him earn a huge amount of radiation and respect from his avid fans.

He also further mentions about paying his employees for as long as possible even though he is shutting down business in its peak period which weighs more expensive than revenues for the designer. Not only this he urges his followers to collectively fight it out this situation and rise above it. Thus, compelling all the social media users to share positive stories which will act as hope of ray in this dark time. He also mentioned in his post that in a few years from now, we have a story to narrate and recall all these moments about our fight against this situation collectively.


Just a few days back, the designer had announced shutting his stores amidst of COVID-19 Pandemic.  Also joining the league were fashion designers Manish Malhotra and Tarun Tahiliani. While Manish Malhotra mentioned in his post, “Understanding our priority to ensure the health of our employees, clients, and our nation, we are temporarily discontinuing our operations from 20th March, 5 pm onwards until further notice.”

Tarun wrote in his post, “Our factory has been closed for the past few days and it will remain so till March 31 so our employees and artisans can stay safe at home. From March 20, we have also decided to close our stores across all cities until further notice.”
